Quit Waiting  June 21st,  2007


After a break, it's time to get going again, and here is the passage from a great book that I was reading this morning that told me - It's Time!

It's time to quit waiting for

Perfection
Inspiration
Permission
Reassurance
Someone to change
The right person to come along
The kids to leave home
A more favourable horoscope
The new administration to take over
An absence of risk
Someone to discover you
A clear set of instructions
More self-confidence
The pain to go away

Give Me A Break!

A story is told of a man who goes to church and prays, "God, I need a break. I need to win the state lottery. I'm counting on you, God."

Having not won the lottery, the man returns to church a week later and once again prays, "God, about that state lottery ... I've been kind to my wife. I've given up drinking. I've been really good. Give me a break. Let me win the lottery."


A a week later, still no richer, he returns to pray once again. "God, I don't seem to be getting through to you on this state lottery thing. I've been using positive self-talk, saying affirmations, and visualizing the money. Give me a break, God. Let me win the lottery."


Suddenly the heavens open up, white light and heavenly music flood into the church, and a deep voice says, "My son, give me a break! Buy a lottery ticket!"

P.S. Did you know that sliced bread was patented by Mrs P Ride, a mother of five, on 1 April 1954. Now I am not sure about that BUT I do know for sure that 82 year old Thelma Pitt-Turner set a world record for people over 80 for the marathon of 7 hours and 58 minutes!

P.P.S. And whilst we are getting back into action, did you know that there is a Tupperware party being held somewhere in the world every 3 seconds. That is a LOT of Tupperware.

Hello Wayne,

Of course we missed the Spirit, but perhaps we are like baby birds with out mouths open waiting for you to feed us. Uhu!

I am not at all surprised that you are having a well earned rest, especially after the nonsense harassment.

Just keep on believing yourself Wayne, you’re tapping into good sense (there’s a connecting line through the theme of what you print) and sharing it with many people who clearly appreciate your direction.

We (with heart in right place) would all be totally clapped out in no time if we didn’t have ideals and values that underpin our ventures. Seems to be out of fashion in the corporate scene and among the smart set whose main drive could be over compensation for feeling poorly, as exhibited and fuelled by competitiveness based on empty stuff.

That is the lesson for me. I have hung on like a dog with a bone to my ideals and direction, way past all sensible advice and now I believe that I have found someone who is willing to take my work to the next stage and perhaps I can expand the range of healthy and tasty foods that I have put together for people who wish to eat right or who need non allergenic foods.

I have never known how this would happen but have talked with many companies and entrepreneurs and walked away because I didn’t have confidence that it would work out for the products or me.

I want to be the marketer and product development person next.

Your Spirit has been one of the lighthouses that I appreciated often. Thanks lots and here’s looking forward to hearing again.
