What is The Secret REALLY about? The original idea is
based on a 1910 book by Wallace D Wattle called “The
Science of Getting Rich”.
download your free copy here
Basically, the theory is that out of nothing you can create something. What
we think about is what comes to pass! So, have you ever wondered how to turn
nothing into something?
In order to turn nothing into something, you've got to start with some ideas
and imagination. Now, it might be hard to call ideas and imagination
nothing; but how tangible are just your ideas?
This is the start point of achieving – imagine what you want and work
towards creating it.
Someone's idea became that magnificent resort hotel, someone’s
frustration at not being able to get something turned into an business,
a doctors horror at an incurable idea and a belief that it could be
cured into a new vaccine or someone’s off the wall thoughts that
became a miracle product. These are examples of an idea – a nothing
tangibly, that became so powerful in your mind and in your consciousness
that they seem real to you even before they become tangible.
The Secret is Imagination that is so strong, you can actually
see it.
If you have ever built a house from the ground up you will remember going to
the vacant block with your friends and family walking them through your
imaginary home. I am sure that many of you have done this – imagined
something so vividly that it appeared real, and ultimately came into being.
And this usually was before the plans were drawn up!
I vividly remember standing on a sandy block in Hillarys Western
Australia and the Real Estate salesman saying; “Just over there will be
a school, just below us will be a monster park, and just over there, just
above that hill will be one of Australia’s largest shopping centres.” As I
wiped the sand from my eyes on that blustery winter day in 1972, sand that
was being whipped up by a strong sea breeze blowing across the desert that
was a future town, I believed him. I bought that block of sand!!
In 2007 the monster park is Mawson Park which is absolutely
fantastic, the school is one of Perth's finest and the shopping centre is
Whitfords City which is one of the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere.
Someone imagined so hard that they created something out of nothing.
So, the first step of turning nothing into something is to imagine the
possibilities.
Now here is the second step for turning nothing into something, you must
Believe that what you imagine IS possible for you. Affirmations such as,
"If I can do it, you can do it." often become a support to our belief. And
we start believing. First we imagine it's possible. Second, we start to
believe that what's possible is possible for us.
Remember your past successes and say "If I did it once, I can do it again.
If it happened for me before, it could very well happen again."
According to James Rohn, "Faith is substance." An interesting word:
"substance", the powerful ability to believe in the possibilities that are
possible for you. If you have faith to believe… that faith is substance,
substance meaning "a piece of the real." Now it's not "the real", it's not
this podium, but it is so powerful that it is very close to being real and
so the writer said, "The faith is a piece of, the substance of".
To achieve the results that are talked about in The Secret all you need to
do is follow this formula: The first step is to imagine what is possible;
the second is to have the faith to believe that what is possible is possible
for you. And now the third step is to that you go to work to make it
real. You go to work to make it a hotel. You go to work to make it an
enterprise. You go to work and make it good health. You go to work and make
it an association. You go to work and make it a good marriage. You go to
work and make it a movement; you make it tangible. You make it viable. You
breathe life into it and then you construct it. That is such a unique and
powerful ability for all of us human beings.
Put this to work and start the miracle process today and you will experience
The Secret!

Mansfield
P.S. Novelist
Carson McCullers endured three strokes before she was twenty-nine.
While she was crippled, partially paralysed and in constant pain, she
suffered the profound shock of her husband's suicide. Others may have
surrendered to such afflictions, but she settled for writing no less than a page
a day. On that unrelenting schedule, she turned out many distinguished novels,
including Member of the Wedding, The Ballad of the Sad Cat and The
Heart is a Lonely Hunter.
P.P.S. Did you know that Leon Uris, author of the bestseller
Exodus, failed high school English three times. And that
after Thomas Carlyle lent the manuscript of The French Revolution
to a friend whose servant carelessly used it to kindle a fire, he calmly
went to work and rewrote it

Feedback: It seems that The Maverick Spirit
readership enjoys getting my off beat outlook on life. Here are a couple of
snippets of feedback to entertain and inspire.
Hi Wayne,
glad to get the M Sprit again in my inbox. Some of your principles, like the
one on asking, are so basic, still we need reminding.
I admit having been a vague asker. Perhaps the secret is in knowing, when to
pesist in asking, or when to be content with what you have?
Kind regards from Adelaide

Since talking with you at the Melbourne Phone Sense seminar, and you kindly
giving me the Sales script copy you had, it has been such an encouragement to
get you email. Today’s was especially encouraging and I imaging hard to
encourage others when you have your own reasons to want to give up.
Many many thanks

Wayne,
We have a close friend of 93 who bought a new car late last year which he
intends to drive " for as long as I feel capable" In this State (NSW) you have
to have a medical each year from 80 and take a Driving Test every year from 85 -
he passes every time and is also a brilliant organist. I use him as my model !!
