To Risk
“To laugh is to risk appearing a fool,
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement,
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return,
To live is to risk dying,
To hope is to risk despair,
To try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk
nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow,
But he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or live.
Chained by his servitude he is a slave who has forfeited all freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.
The pessimist complains about the wind;
The optimist expects it to change;
And the realist adjusts the sails.”

P.S. Did you
know that the first planet to be discovered that wasn't visible to the
naked eye was Uranus, which was discovered by British astronomer Sir
William Herschel on 13 March 1781.
P.P.S. As you probably all know, the first man into space was
Russian Yuri Gagrin in 1961. You probably don't know that there is no American
in the group of the 10 youngest people to have been space travellers...
And
for something really different:
Visit my daily thoughts blog at

Feedback: I have selected a couple of words for today...
and I hope to hear from you soon with your words of encouragement, wisdom and
resolve.

Thanks for your continued motivation, your resilience and ongoing
perseverance is truly amazing.
I feel that the essential addition perseverance is a concept I got from Justin
Herald at your Blast into 2006 conference. - "if nothing changes, nothing
changes"
When you feel that your perseverance is not achieving what you want it to, then
try another way. - You will find that you have refreshed vigour and if you keep
at it, you will make it.
Keep up the fight.

Gday Wayne,
Glad to see that your still maintaining the positive mental attitude that we
have grown accustomed to. Many would have broken, or said "stuff it", by now.
There has to be an easier way to make a buck. But why let them win?
Glad to see your still with us.

Hi Wayne,
Thanks for that email. "Don't let the bastards get you down!"
Best of luck!

Hi Wayne
A rare spirit you are indeed!
It is truly refreshing to hear from someone with such positive thoughts in a
world which has sadly become so full of negative people peddling negative
thoughts.
Wayne, I salute you.
